Proposal of HECAC[ Himalayan Environmental and Cultural Awareness Center] to lunch SEAC[Student Environmental Awareness Circle]


About the HECAC

 HECAC is a non profit social organization emerged in 2005 AD. To conduct the clean and green programs in struggle with all kinds environment pollution, problems and crisis . On the behalf of all kind of living being to protect the earth as their common home ,HECAC highlights its activities to make proper balance in ecosystem. It acknowledges and operates its actions to keep the earth in a condition of having less green house effect crisis at all.


Since it has been established, it has already lunched various environmental awareness programs. Those programs offered us much feed back to give continuity the similar natured programs in future.

HECAC is a team of trained , dedicated and professional manpower, united, motivated and forwarded to contribute their skill to address environmental issues. It is capable to activate all kind of environmental programs. It has shaped its all activities to obtain its goals involving maximum people's participation.


About the SEAC

It targeted to make heavy participation of future generation in its clean and green campaign belong to environment connecting the subject teacher of environment of concerned school throughout the country. HECAC named this campaign 'Clean and Green New  Nepal' which help to promote, arise and widen the environmental awareness activities from school level students considering that  students are the major root of all societies which may form the face of New Nepal  clean and green at all.

SEAC project is long term environmental awareness campaign through the nation from Mechi to Mahakali 'Clean and Green New Nepal  campaign.  In general, it may takes around twelve to fifteen years to cover targeted nationwide areas. The school level students who may under sixteen years old are popularly known as future generation take  full flagged responsibility of this program under the direct supervision of concern teachers and schools and the HECAC as like three sides of same triangle.

Hence, HECAC considers that the huge and active participation of school level students is compulsory essential and necessary to operate successfully the CGN campaign as seed ad sapling are essential to be a sound forest. HEACE believes that the small contribution of million of students throughout the country may milestone contribution to address, mitigate and overcome current environmental crisis..

Work Experience with other donors


Upto now , HECAC has been planning, conducting and performing its activities with the help of some private  organizations such as Nature Trail and Trek Expedition[NTTE]. It has been making wide approaches to various government and non governmental organization for fund raising.
Over the years, with economic assistance of NTTE it conducted Chovar Cleaning Program successfully. The frequent assistance of NTTE has motivated the HECAC carving a precious platform with action oriented awareness building campaign smoothly.


Project Strategies

To meet the stated objectives ,we the  HECAC prepare all documents and other related materials and well as human power to form Student Environmental Awareness Circle.
It has made a research on some schools meeting directly the students and  subject teachers and principals of various schools who are very interested to work with HECAC in struggle against environmental pollution to deploy CGN campaign immediately.

Coordination between HECAC and SEAC
As it is mentioned above that HECAC is a social organization operated to overcome environment pollution it has framed a long term environmental awareness policy opening some sister wings which may promote its campaign of environmental awareness. Among them SEAC is considered as a one sister wing  of  HECAC. In this, connection, HECAC plays the role of push and pull in a term of leading SEAC providing ALL kinds of instructions and necessary guidance's. HECAC acknowledge the volume of environment crisis that endanger our natural clean and green environment . We now can't be solved this probles within over night . It requires long-lasting efforts of long life people or school level students. Keeping this fact HECAC  has  shaped a clear vision of uniting school level children all over the nation under  its the umbrella forming thousand of SEACs. HECAC senses that SEAC may develop itself as a clean and  green, combine force  to curb down the environmental crisis on the behalf of all kinds of living beings.
 
SEAC activities

Making a view of one school , one SEAC, HECAC visions to widen the SEAC  all over the nation making a research and fixing schedule of twelve to fifteen years.


As a first step, the students who involved in SEAC may starts its activities by keeping clean own class room in which they spend more than five hours per day except on Saturday and national holidays.

In second steps, they may keep clean their school ground  and surrounding peripheries which may gives them fresh inputs to be far from feeling bore and being inactive.


In third steps they must keep clean their taps and toilet rooms so that they never feel inconvenience due to dirty smell and its direct effect seriously  to their health.  In fourth steps, they develop the concept of making the school environment  green  both   their rooms and ground planting various sapling and develop them as a mini garden concept. In addition, SEAC students may involve in literary campaign such as drama, essay, poem competition time to time making proper schedule on the other hand they may direct involve in various environmental exhibitions, functions, rally's and protests.

 

Project output

From this student environmental awareness project  HECAC senses that it invites fruitful results. These activities launch in this school assist to widen, support and upraise the strategies of SEAC practically to face the verities of chain of environmental problem s. It could be judged with the assistance of concern exports time  to time.         

Area for SEAC projects

 HECAC moves its environmental awareness campaign from the beautiful place of Manamaiju VDC the northern side of Kathmandu valley forming  at first SEAC in Gyanbhumi High school which was established before a decade ago in 2049 BS. It is a nice school of more than four hundred students nearly five kilometers far away from Katmandu valley. It has a big building having more than one and half dozen rooms. Among them thirteen are students class rooms. Remaining rooms are used for administrative propose. It has extra land which may develop as a mini garden as per HECAC concept through HECAC contribution along with  school's contribution


Reason of choosing  Gyanbhumi Highschool to form SEAC

A] This school is a school in which eco-club has been already formed so that it would be easy  to coordinate with them according to HECAC's vision.

B] This school is ready to contribute maximum contribution in a term of working with           HECAC even providing land that necessary to develop mini garden.

C] Both teachers and students of this school are fully delighted to work against environment pollution inside the school  and outside the school.

Budget for   one room one broom minor beginning

There are  all togetherly thirteen class rooms, it mean, it requires thirteen dustbins, thirteen brooms and thirteen doormats to keep wastes that used by more than four hundred students                 

 

Hence the  primary budget is Contribution through HECAC
