HECAC is a non-profitable and community whose goals are:

* To work towards the welfare of society.

* Conduct research and study on environmental issues and culture

* Conduct programs regularly to promote awareness on environmental issues and the preservation of the alpine environmental and its uniqueness.

* To organize and conduct different seminars and workshops on the protection of environment and culture of the Himalaya

* To establish coordination and collaboration with different national and internationals working toward the protection of the ecological system of the Himalaya.

* To represent institutionally in the seminar, workshops on national and international level relating to environment and culture.

* To carry out sanitation activities to maintain clean environment.

* To carry out various activities for sustainable and healthy tourism.

* To carry out various activities for the preservation of alpine environment and its attractions.

* To carry out the activities necessary to mitigate the possible negative impact on environment and culture due to tourism exploitation.
