Volunteer Opportunities

We invite both national and international students, scholars, and tourists who are interested in helping in our initiative through volunteering. We offer a variety of volunteer programs depending upon the candidates’ requirements and personal interests.

The volunteer programs are designed for volunteers to acquire and share their knowledge, gain experience and develop their skills. Upon completion of the program participants will be issued a certificate of successful attendance stating their work experience and personal progress.

Current volunteering opportunities

HECAC has been working in the field of environmental and cultural awareness in various parts of Nepal since 2004. It has launched a “Clean and Green Environmental Campaign” in various parts of Nepal focussing on Community Based Forest and Environmental issues. This program has been launched in collaboration with various schools and communities. The programs are based in the Forest of Katmandu, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Syanja districts of Nepal. We are currently extending our eco-management volunteer programs to other Himalayan regions such as Tibet, Bhutan and Pakistan.

Currently we are recruiting volunteers for the following programs:

* Culture based programs (to organize folk songs competition)

* Planting of saplings in various Community Based Forests.

* Community Based Forest Research

* Environmental awareness and waste management campaign in various SECAC schools.

* Building sanitation (toilets and taps) or school compounds in various needy schools in the rural areas of Nepal..

Volunteer program periods vary according to your personal preferences; generally it is more fruitful for both parties if volunteers stay over a period of at least 5 months.

For the above stated volunteer programs we ask you to send in your application together with your curriculum vitae at least 3 months in advance before you arrive in Nepal .

If you are looking for a custom tailored volunteering program don't hesitate to e-mail us;(info@hecac.org). we will design a volunteer program that perfectly matches your individual requirements.
