Message from HECAC president to you all on the occasion of World Environment Day' 2009.

It is common phenomenon to all people of the world in involving in interaction programs, in big rally's and speech programs in a name of respecting the World Environment Day spending just some few hours of June 05 in each and every year. This HECAC message's intention is not to underline the mention above eco-friendly activities use to happen on World Environment Day but has right to ask mighty question why they love sleeping other hours of 364 days. Is it not just like method of to remember the mother only giving some few chocolates on her birthday instead of giving balance diet and medicines who seriously ill and helpless. HECAC hopes most of common people agree on its sheer voice.

On this occasion, HECAC wishes to remember the World Environment Day only by performing the environmental jobs and getting green result from them but not on word, word and word only. Here are some remarkable jobs to be stated.

Recently it has completed the improve oven project in rural village Kamalbari(4), Salang in Dhangadi district.

Our observation team Ms Katharina Loosli and Ms Annelies Mettle from Swizerland found that all the villagers were really pretty happy with this improve oven project of HECAC. The major thing they were strongly conformed & revealed that the established improve ovens has consumed more then 50% less firewood than the traditional ones that help to make less deforestation. In addition due to produce less smoke in comparison to traditional oven that they had before. It brings no serious diseases such as asthma, eye ache, and headache etc. This is our proud gift to state in World Environment Day to offer the innocent earth.

HECAC have made the improve oven in the kitchen of poor villages. However, HECAC worried What they cook on these improve oven. So HECAC have already launched co-related program named Micro invest Project to improve the economic status of this village. There is formed a HECAC improve goat breeding project under the chairmanship of Mr.Mana Bdr Magar , a local villager.

On the other hand HECAC research team revealed that most of the rural villages in Nepal are suffering from used batters which are scatters here and there. They are poisoning the soil and water and bringing the bad effect to the innocent villagers. They don't have any ideas how to dispose such used harmful batteries. In this connection, HECAC has formed the HECAC –waste batteries management team and started its work collecting the used batteries from different part of the rural villages for proper disposal. This is a kind of remarkable issues that are addressed by HECAC from this year.

This message will be a long story here if we explain one by one what we did eco-friendly activities in this year.

With great pleasure, HECAC have to state here that HECAC active member Erik Ravenstijn from Holland has summitted the world's highest peaks Mt. Everest on 20 th may' 09. Mr. Erik reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2009 with the flag of HECAC to give an aspiration to all human being to stop all kind of unnatural activities which adversely affect the environment.

In conclusion, the HECAC asks all the NGOs and INGOs Government and Nongovernment sectors to work in this field together joining hand in hand so that dream of creating green environment and to make the earth green comes to true soon.

Have a nice World Environment Day 2009 !
