About Charity Nepal School

CNS's Admission Policy

The children at the Charity School Nepal come from different parts of the country. Some children were admitted following direct contact being made with the school by social workers whereas other children were offered a place by CNS management on the basis of certain criteria: economic status (whether very poor or not), family background (whether orphaned or not), morality (whether involved in crime or not), etc. Children found to be very poor, orphaned with no relatives who could afford to help them and who are not involved in criminal activities will be selected by CNS - if their budget can cover the costs. However, the school only has the capacity to adopt fifty children.

The children at this school, many of whom lack the support of family, relatives and society; live as one big family there. Thus the school is like an orphanage. Luckily, being under the care of Charity Nepal School , the future for these children is brighter than it would have been otherwise.

What Charity Nepal School Needs?

The school has an insufficiency of the most basic of items such as, desks, benches, chairs, blackboards and teaching materials such as books and pens. It also lacks sufficient buildings to house the children and classrooms in which to teach them. There is no playground for the children to relax in and play games. Some of the ?classrooms? only have tin roofs with no walls, door or windows. Thus, in winter and during rains, the children are cold and wet without the shelter that walls and window would provide while in summer they suffering from the heat under the tin roof.
